Marty has been apart of the Hardin County Community since 1979 and is involved in the community. He is a member of the Hardin County AM Rotary Club, Hardin County Community Fair Board, Let's Spruce Up, the Elizabethtown Tourism & Convention Bureau, and the Elizabethtown City Council.

He is a member of Heart of Kentucky Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and Kentucky Board of Auctioneers.

Marty and his wife, Rhonda, have one son, Dawson, and are members of Grace Heartland Church.
